Samuel Watson is an AI researcher at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where he is pursuing a master’s in Information and Computer Sciences. A recipient of the Boren, Fulbright, and Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarships, he currently serves as a Gilman Alumni Ambassador for the U.S. Department of State. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Cybersecurity from The University of Alabama and completed a master’s in Korean Studies at Yonsei University in South Korea as a Fulbright Scholar. Samuel's passions include encouraging first-generation college students to study abroad, language learning, and leveraging technology to foster intercultural collaboration.
