Margaret serves as Director of International Student and Scholar Services and PDSO/RO at The University of Texas at Austin, bringing over two decades of experience in international education. Since joining UT Austin in 2010, she has advanced through multiple roles from advisor to her current directorial position. She previously served as Director of International Student Services at St. Mary's University in San Antonio (2001-2009), establishing comprehensive expertise across diverse institutional contexts.
Margaret holds a BA in International Relations from St. Mary's University, an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from UT Austin, and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College. Her global perspective spans travel to South Korea, Germany, Turkey, Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Guatemala, and Mexico. An active NAFSA contributor, she has presented at regional and national conferences on crisis management, student engagement, and the NAFSA competencies, demonstrating her commitment to advancing professional practice in international education.
