Ana Cristina Biondo Salomão is Assistant Provost for International Affairs at São Paulo State University (UNESP). She is a leading researcher in the field of COIL virtual exchange and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on virtual exchange and internationalization at home in collaboration with researchers in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Taiwan. Along with the Brazilian Association for International Education (FAUBAI), she has created the Brazilian Virtual Exchange Program (BRaVE), the largest virtual exchange network for Higher Education Institutions in Brazil. In her role as Assistant Provost for International Affairs, she has developed and led multiple professional development initiatives for academic and administrative staff, including COIL for Staff. She is a leading voice in the field of virtual exchange and serves on the board of directors of the International Virtual Exchange conference (IVEC).
