Dr. Eric Spears is the Mildred Miller Fort Foundation Eminent Scholar and Chair of International Education, Professor of Geography, and Executive Director of the Center for Global Engagement at Columbus State University. A geographer with research expertise in Brazil, his scholarly work explores place, globalization, and applied international learning. As Executive Director, he oversees the university’s global engagement initiatives, including academic programs at Spencer House in Oxford, England (CSU’s study abroad center) and works to expand faculty-led and student-centered international education.
