Soledad Zapiola is Executive Director of the Office of International Programs at Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been working in the field for more than 20 years and has vast experience in delivering presentations, having presented as guest speaker at NAFSA´s Latin America Forum, chaired NAFSA sessions on different occasions and active professional involvement in several associations. Soledad is passionate about promoting international education, cross-cultural conversations, developing capacity for international cooperation and improving service to students, as well as promoting innovation in cooperation practices. Soledad has designed and led several semester-long, short-term and summer programs for international students as well as led various multilateral projects. Soledad currently serves as Global Perspective Member for the 2026 NAFSA Annual Conference Committee. Previously, she also served as Mentor at NAFSA's Executive Internationalization Leadership e-institute, President and later Vice President at the Argentinean Forum for International Education (FAEI), Secretary of the Organization of Catholic Universities in Latin America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL), consultant for the Institute for Higher Education in Latin American and the Caribbean (IESALC-UNESCO) and Instructor at the Division of Educational Leadership Administration and Policy, Center for Catholic School Leadership, Fordham University. Soledad enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues around the globe, leading proactive teams and fostering a global conversation about best practices, trends and future narratives in international education.
