Dean of Students
IES Abroad
Stephanie Rock is Dean of Students at IES Abroad, with more than 20 years of Student Affairs experience both on campus and abroad. Since joining IES Abroad in 2007, she has led initiatives in health, safety, and student welfare, and currently works most closely with Centers in France, Germany, and Austria. In this role, she has developed protocols and training to support students navigating health challenges, crises, and onsite withdrawals, with care and dignity.
Stephanie's career began in Residence Life at The Catholic University of America and Miami University, where she also earned her M.S. in College Student Personnel. She holds dual B.A. degrees in International Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Latin American Studies, from Miami University. A semester abroad in Mérida, Venezuela sparked her lifelong passion for international education.
Stephanie has presented at The Forum on Education Abroad, ACPA, and NASPA, and is passionate about centering student dignity and resilience in all aspects of the study abroad experience.
